During the week of September 26th the Central Florida
Chapter of Delta Upsilon participated in the Annual Panhellenic King
Philanthropy. The Panhellenic Council is the sorority equivalent of the IFC.
Brothers Byron Gilbert ’08 and Neil Sneath ’07 represented the chapter
during the events.
There was a progressive dinner where each sorority prepared
food from a different culture to help show the diversity of the
organizations and the University of Central Florida. Gilbert and Sneath
performed in a talent competition with an interpretive dance of the song “I
Believe I Can Fly” by R. Kelly.
More than 90 percent of the Central Florida Chapter’s 100
man chapter attended the competition. Brothers also participated in a canned
food drive donating approximately 700 of the 3000 can food products that
were collected throughout the competition. The Panhellenic Council held a
barbeque to prior to their awards ceremony where Byron and Neil were
announced as “Pan Kings”.
